2020 Consolidated Leadership Elections
APA Chapter, Division, and Student Representatives Council
In 2020, APA members will participate in elections for chapter, division, and student leaders. Many APA chapters and most APA divisions are inviting nominations for leadership positions through this process.

飞艇怎么淘汰了Participating chapters are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York Metro, New York Upstate, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Washington.
Participating divisions are: County Planning; Economic Development; Environment, Natural Resources and Energy; Federal Planning; International; Planning and the Black Community; Planning and Law; Regional and Intergovernmental Planning; Small Town and Rural Planning; Transportation Planning; and Urban Design and Preservation.
Student Representatives Council leader positions open are: Student Representatives Council Region 1 Representative, Student Representatives Council Region 5, and Student Representatives Council Region 6 Representative.

|February 3||Chapters/Divisions notice of participation and submit checklist form to staff|
|March 2||Begin the Call for Nominations|
|April 24||Firm deadline for submission of names of potential nominated candidates|
|April 24||Firm deadline for receiving electronic position statements of all potential nominated candidates|
|June 2||Member list for ballot distribution is prepared, for members eligible to vote in the election|
|July 1||Firm deadline for receiving petition candidates (for those that have a petition process in place), and their position statements/bios|
|July 14||Ballots available online; reminders emailed to all chapter/division members|
|Late-July||Email reminders sent to those members who have not yet voted|
|Early August||Email reminders sent to those members who have not yet voted|
|August 14||Firm deadline for receipt of ballots from membership|
|August 20||Survey Ballot Systems certifies election results and prepares report to National for dissemination to Chapters/Divisions|
|January 1, 2021||Newly elected leaders take office|
Board and Commission Election Schedule and Composition
飞艇怎么淘汰了APA conducts elections for new Board and Commission members every two years. About half of positions in each body are up for election in each cycle. Balloting occurs during the summer of odd-numbered years. New Board and Commission members’ terms begin on January 1 of even-numbered years.
Below are the terms for Board and Commission members as of January 1, 2020. Board members and Commissioners serve staggered four-year terms, except for council chairs who serve two-year terms. Also, the President-Elect serves for one year and President-Elect, two years as President, and one year as Past President. Liaisons to the AICP Commission serve two-years terms.
In odd-numbered years, the call for nominations goes out to members before the National Planning Conference, for interested candidates.
